The materials on this page are Part 2 of the three part series on Qualitative Data Analysis. These materials are designed to support Ohio’s SPF-PFS Sub-recipient Community Coalitions as they analyze the data from their focus groups/group interviews/listening sessions (please use whatever term resonates in your community). This asynchronous SPF-PFS learning experience focuses on: coding and categorizing focus group data; moving from categories to themes/theories; connecting focus group feedback to intervening variables; and completing the local context portion of a logic model.
The materials that follow are Microsoft Word templates. These templates are designed to support Ohio’s SPF-PFS Sub-recipient Community Coalitions through the qualitative data analysis process. These templates facilitate the data analysis process by ensuring that data and information gleaned from quantitative and qualitative sources are aligned. Please note that there are two templates for each of SAMHSA’s intervening variables – one for underage drinking and one for misuse/abuse of prescription drugs. Please choose the templates that are most applicable to your local project.
